Often referred to as “The Island of Gods”, Bali might just be one of the most unique places on earth in terms of accommodation options. While I was planning our trip to Bali, I came across a plethora of interesting options, ranging from huge infinity pools to traditional Balinese-style houses, tree-houses with amazing views, and even a converted plane.
In the following, I will hopefully inspire some of you to take that brave step towards exploring a new place, while inspiring others in search of something cool and unique. In no particular order, here are 7 of the most amazing stays in Bali

7. Munduk Heaven Luxury Villas

If you ever wished to live on the planet of Endor from Star Wars, this might be the closest thing you can ever get. Nestled in the middle of the Balinese jungle, these floating houses offer one of the most unique experiences on the island of Bali.

While a bit far from the airport, the long trip is worth it, given the feeling of freedom this stay provides, while allowing you to connect with nature. Not only do these villas offer a stunning view of the jungle and they even come with a jacuzzi.

6. Buahan, a Banyan Tree Escape

Moving a bit South, we have another tree-house, but this time with a twist: you sleep in the open jungle! This resort embraces the “No walls, no doors” concept and applies it in the middle of probably the most beautiful jungle in the world.

If you ever want to feel like Tarzan for a few days, while also indulging in some luxuries such as a spa, this is your go-to option. As long as you are not afraid of heights, you should be fine 🙂

5. Padma Resort Ubud

If you’re looking for the kind of place that makes you question whether you’ve accidentally wandered into a dream, Padma Resort Ubud might just be it. Tucked away in the lush Payangan jungle, this luxurious haven feels like a serene escape carved straight out of a fantasy novel — but with infinity pools and world-class service.

And not just any infinity pool. Padma Ubud is home to the biggest infinity pool in all of Bali, and trust me, it’s every bit as impressive as it sounds. Picture yourself floating on the edge, gazing out over layers of green jungle as the sky slowly shifts from golden hour to dusk. It’s the kind of view that makes you forget what day it is — and honestly, you won’t care.

Whether you’re here for the spa, the jungle treks, or just to lounge around in a robe like royalty, Padma Ubud offers that beautiful feeling of being completely disconnected from the world — in the best possible way.

4. Kanvaz Village Resort Seminyak

Tucked into one of Seminyak’s most stylish neighborhoods, Kanvaz Village Resort is where modern design meets that unmistakable Bali charm. It’s the kind of place that feels effortlessly cool — think sleek architecture, curated interiors, and a lush tropical vibe that makes you feel like you’re in a design magazine (but barefoot and in a swimsuit).

Location-wise, it doesn’t get much better. You’re walking distance to Seminyak’s hottest spots — boutique shops, iconic beach clubs, and some of the best cafés on the island. But despite being in the thick of it all, the resort somehow manages to stay peaceful and calm, giving you the best of both worlds.

The centerpiece? A sprawling central pool surrounded by palm trees and sun loungers — perfect for a slow morning dip or a golden-hour spritz. Add in a wellness center, a stylish in-house restaurant, and spa treatments that melt away any lingering stress, and you’ve got yourself a luxe little haven right in the heart of the action.

3. Beehouse Dijiwa Ubud

If you’re after something a little whimsical, a little romantic, and a whole lot of Instagrammable — Beehouse Dijiwa Ubud is calling your name. With its unique bamboo architecture (yes, it actually looks like a giant beehive), this place is nestled among rice fields and tropical gardens, offering total peace and that sweet, slow Ubud energy.

It’s perfect for couples or solo travelers wanting to unplug, unwind, and maybe float around in a heart-shaped pool while surrounded by nature. Bonus points: the on-site café serves dreamy breakfasts you’ll definitely want to snap before you bite.

2. Private Jet Villa Uluwatu

Ever dreamed of sleeping in a private jet perched high on a cliff? No, this isn’t the plot of some James Bond movie — it’s real, and it’s in Bali. The Private Jet Villa in Uluwatu is exactly what it sounds like: a decommissioned aircraft turned luxury villa, sitting dramatically above the Indian Ocean.

This place isn’t just about the novelty (though let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to stay in a jet with wings stretching over a cliffside?). It’s packed with over-the-top features — think infinity pool, glass floors, panoramic windows, and interiors that rival a five-star hotel suite. The cockpit? Transformed into a bathroom with jaw-dropping views. Because why not?

If you’re after something that screams “once in a lifetime,” this is the one. Perfect for thrill-seekers, content creators, or anyone who wants to casually say, “Oh yeah, I stayed in a private jet last summer.”

1. The Mulia Resort, Nusa Dua

If Bali had a royal palace for beach lovers, The Mulia Resort would be it. Located on the pristine shores of Nusa Dua, this beachfront icon is all about grandeur, glamour, and that next-level kind of luxury that makes you feel like you’ve officially arrived.

From the moment you step into the open-air lobby (yes, it has columns that feel more Roman temple than tropical resort), you know you’re in for something special. The rooms are spacious and elegant, many with uninterrupted ocean views and private balconies perfect for sunrise coffee or sunset champagne.

But the real showstopper? The oceanfront infinity pool, flanked by statues of Balinese goddesses and facing the calm turquoise waters of Geger Beach — it’s one of those places where you’ll constantly be asking yourself, “Is this real life?”

Foodies will love the resort’s collection of high-end restaurants, from decadent buffets to fine dining with views. And if you’re into spa days, Mulia Spa is basically a temple for relaxation.

Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want to live your best five-star life, The Mulia is the kind of place where indulgence isn’t optional — it’s the standard.
